PAL-GALS supports measure K

Our program grew a little bit this year! Good job at spreading the word everyone. The Minor/Major division has 5 teams this year. We are all excited about this season.

Pitcher/Catcher clinics will resume as soon as the weather cooperates. The last clinic had well over 20 girls.

The first pitcher/catcher clinic was a great success. 10 girls showed up looking for help in developing their pitching skills and 6 girls showed up looking for help in developing their skills as a catcher. 7 Coaches spent an hour giving instruction to these motivated young ladies. Great job to all the players. Be sure to do your homework and come back each week from 2-3pm on sundays. Work hard and it will come. We saw some great potential!

There will be free pitching clinics every Sunday this season. They will be held at the PAL fields from 2pm-3pm. We plan to develop more pitchers and are focusing on the younger girls but all players are welcome. This will help make our league more competitive in years to come. We required every girl to participate in the pitching portion of try-outs and the coaches know who we saw potential in. Developing a pitcher is a family task. A good pitcher must practice daily and they need someone to catch their pitches. Come on moms and dads, make a committment if your player shows an interest or aptitude!

PAL-GAL Fast Pitch softball is for kids between 4 and 16 years of age. Tee Ball (which is for kids 4-7 years) is open to boys and girls. Above the age of 7 years we are a girls' program. Girls softball is gaining popularity nationwide so come on out and join the fun! Age is determined on December 31st of the previous year. Our program is run entirely by volunteers and cost is kept to a minimum. First year players are highly encouraged to participate.

 For girls interested in competitive tournament softball we also have the Vallejo PAL Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are a travel ball program that competes in competitive softball tournaments. For more info click the link below.
