Volunteers Code(s) of Conduct and Release/Waiver

PAL Code of Conduct 

By participating in Vallejo PAL’s programs as a volunteer, you acknowledge that you have read the Code of Conduct in full and will abide by its guidelines.

Volunteer Authorization Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement

You agree not to sue Vallejo PAL, or their staff, for any loss or damage. You assume full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to any act or omission of Vallejo PAL or their staff, while participating in the PAL Program. This release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the state of California.

Volunteer Rules of Conduct

You will abide by the following:

  1. You agree that photographs or video of your likeness may be used without charge by Vallejo PAL, its sponsors, organizers and/or its assigns for such purpose as they deem appropriate.
  2. As a volunteer you will treat everyone with respect, patience, integrity, courtesy, and dignity.
  3. As a volunteer you will perform only those assigned tasks that are within your physical capability and will not undertake any tasks that are beyond your physical capability or ability.
  4. As a volunteer you will not undertake to operate or use vehicles, equipment or tools that you are  unfamiliar with or have not been trained to operate properly and safely, and have not received specific authorization to use from your supervisor.
  5. No drugs, alcohol, and/or tobacco, including vapes, allowed at any time.
  6. No gang-affiliated clothing, hand signs, speech, music, etc. allowed.
  7. Profanity will not be tolerated.
  8. The use of racial slurs or derogatory speech regarding race, religion, gender, etc. will not be tolerated.
  9. No giving your phone number out or lending your cell phone to minors in our programs.
